No this pic isn't from Google earth but was taken by myself from my friends microlite aircraft.
I know the pics a bit blurred but its cold trying to hold the camera with no gloves and it was a choppy day up there, you can't afford to drop the camera cos it goes straight through the prop if you do :o not a good plan.

Well for what its worth you can just make out the JCB plant at Uttoxeter. 8-)

Here are a couple of shots of Luke Furse's brand new JCB JS220 which is on the low loader and ready to go into battle on a new site on Monday, Looks like a fantastic bit of kit!!

I was asked to take the drive on this new machine but sadly I have been offered £2 an hour extra to go elsewhere and drive a new 5ton mini digger ;) Unfortunately new machines don't pay for nice cars & holidays

Find out more about Luke and his company at http://www.lukefurse.co.uk

Nick, Sounds like a bit of a Catch 22 there :dizzy: Gotta go with the $$$, though  That's a nice machine, I ran a similar one a couple years ago on a pipe job.

JCB to unveil its biggest excavator

JCB has announced it will unveil its biggest excavator yet at the Conexpo show in March.
The JS520, which weighs 52 tonnes, will enable the manufacturer to target quarry applications and large infrastructure jobs.

Chief operating officer Matthew Taylor said that the machine would be shown in a concept version at the show.

The firm sold over 70,000 machines worldwide last year, a 30 per cent rise, which Mr Taylor said outpaced the market's growth by 18 per cent.

Well I was round at Luke Furse's yard on Sunday for a chat about some work related stuff and I took the oportunity to take a couple of shots of the new JCB JS220 which had just had its first 100 hr service, Luke & his son Lloyd have once again offered me the drive on this machine and I have to say I am quite tempted :D :?
