Komatsu PC280LC Late 80's

These were taken on a housing development I was working on in the late 80's. The Komatsu was the first 280 in the country and belonged to Jones Brothers plant hire from Ruthin.

Nice machine Paul.Do you have any pics of D.Morgan Plant's kit.They used to hire in kit from Jones's alot over the last 25 years or so.(still do occaisonally).They still run a large fleet of Komatsu PC120 to PC450 size machines.I think Jones's run Komatsu's up to PC750 size.

Great shots Paul,

I always rated those earlier Komatsu's fantastic machines, then they seemed to have a bit of a wobbly spell with the dash 5 machines but I think they are back on top form again now with the dash 8's :thumbs_up:

Hi Nicky,
Sorry no photos of the Morgan fleet :cry:

They are still big users of Komatsus but also have a few Volvos on the fleet these days.
As for Jones Bros. almost a 100% Komatsu excavator fleet. They do have a Liebherr A309 and a Volvo EC460. The PC750 was swapped a while back for a PC800. 2 weeks before PXing the 750 it had a serious electrical fire :shock:

Hopefully got a day with Jones' later this year for Earthmovers. :thumbs_up:
