Kubota KX41 Digger Cooling Hoses

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can advise. This is an original KX41, not a -2 or -3, probably mid '90s and with D1105 engine.
Mice have eaten one of the cooling hoses part 060 in the attached screenshot. This part is no longer available.
However I wonder if I even need it. The mouse hose 060 from the radiator and hose 040/050 from the engine bother connect to a block 080 which provides a convenient drain point. If that's the only function, could I just bypass that part and connect radiator spigot to engine spigot with a bit of plain hose? Or blank off both spigot?
Or would this mess up water flow in some way?
Thanks, Tony S
