1989 jcb 3cx sitemaster grey cab lights

Just got a 1989 3cx grey cab but not a single light works on it... Any ideas? Prob need a rewire but can't find any wiring diagrams. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated

Hi Oliver and welcome to the site :wave:

always start simple so check all of the fuses first then if you have a multi-meter check that the machine is charging correctly and check to see if you have any voltage to any of the lights that don't work, just have a look and check for corroded terminals and for any obvious sign like disconnected wires etc. broken earth cables and the like.
That's about the extent of my electrical knowledge but others on here who know about JCB may just be able to point you in the right direction. :thumbup:

Thank you for the welcome I'll take my time and trace each wire. Got one head lamp working lol getting there.

Having one light working is a massive improvement. It shows the fuse and the switch (plus the intermediate wiring) is ok.

A multimeter (just a cheap one) should be on your shopping list, but a test light is quicker to use for many tests

Electrical contact cleaner can improve old spring contacts considerably. eg. remove fuse, spray, reassemble - the same for light globes.

How did you get on with the lights/electrics? I'm just about to pick up a 1989 3CX sitemaster and has the same issue.
