Hi Again! Been some time since i posted here. After the earth heat project, Diana that i named her has spent a pretty calm being with only some lighter ditching now and then.
Last weekend i had my sister for visit. She has a 3 year old son who is addicted to excavators. Wonder why
Of course i had to let him join me for a test start of Diana after a mounth of resting.
In Sweden it is the rain season now, it's been raining quite much the last weeks.
I know by experience that rain sometimes can tend to whirl in and fill up the air filter cup.
But somehow i forgot to check it before start
The engine started up for maybe two second and died. I tried the starter again, but the engine seemed to be stuck. Opened the engine cap and saw the water that had splashed out from the air filter. My engine was hydrolocked. After hearing some stories of another Hymac with broken crank caused by this i saw the worst case scenario before me
So i toke down the air filter and cleaned it. I removed the valve cover so i could remove the injectors. I pulled the starter and water was splashing out. It was more water than can be seen in the film cause i started to record after a few seconds.
I assembled the injectors and pulled the starter. It fired up almust instantly.
I had her going for nearly an hour and she seems back to normal again. But this must never happen again. Next time i might not be this lucky
