The Classic Machinery Network

My old JCB 801 mini digger has started to crack and bang when slewing and stopping. There has always been play in it so I assume that the slew ring needs repair/replaced.
The machine is an early 801 and hadn't seen grease in years before I got it.

Has anyone completed a similar repair or know of where a slew ring could be sourced for reasonable money.

Nothing jamed inside. Full of mud, stones underneath that may restrict movement?
