I have just bought a jcb 806 which I think is from the 1970 does anyone have a workshop /users manual for this as I keep getting directed to manuals which turn out to be for the 8060 which is a much newer machine and JCb have not been helpful as they dont seem to support there classic stuff

Which is funny as for my 3cx when I asked them the size of a hydraulic pipe someone came 20miles to tell me

Is this the machine with the angled cab and platform or the one like the Power-slide?

I think its angled its not a power slide I have up;oaded a picture I hope

Despite the appearance it will be going to work on our tracks once I have changed the fluids and I think adjusted the tracks up a bit

That looks a heavy old beast! Is it fitted with a Perkins 6.354?

it is a perkins how do i work out the model no of the engine though

I know I really wanted a 10 ton machine max for trackwork but they are about five times the price and this starts off the button goes round each way smoothly and doesnt seem to nod when you lift the tracks off the ground so it was easier/cheaper to widen the tracks with machine and use the stuff from the edges as infill

I'm pretty sure it was a Perkins 6,354 engine in these machines. Great to see this one is still hard at it.
