Post #1 by jimbomac » Sun Apr 12, 2015 10:54 am

Well everybody. The engine on my 3cx (BMC Engine) is seized and looking to see if anybody removed sump without taking the engine out.It looks like it can not come down when all the bolts are off cause of the front axel. Its a 2wd.Had a look at the W/S manual and does not give any info on it.

I don't ever remember this being an issue. Having said that, lifting gear apart it's not a big job to whip the lot out ?
there are old fitters and bold fitters but no old bold fitters...

you have to remove the bolts through the front engine mounting plate by holding the engine up and removing the gearbox cross member and levering the engine back about 3 inches.
