The Dresser shovel looks massive against the 789 truck - looks more like a 201 in my opinion.

Hello DAH, How are you?
She's a 191M alright, just got those big filtration boxs & HF tracks.I know she is only filling the bucket half full, but see how small the bucket is to the truck.(I don't think this operator would get the start for UK Coal. LOL)The later 191M's had a bigger spec.
I have found some more video's on YouTube for you all to watch,
OL'127 shovel.wmv
shovel 137. wmv
Marion4 (This Marion 191M is loading Komatsu HD1200 trucks in Turkey)
I have been around a Marion 301M shovel in Wyoming on a visit & she's a big shovel compared to these.
Here are some more photos for you all.

Great pictures Mark - thanks for sharing.

How high do you think the standard tracks are - 6 or 7 feet?

Just wondering how the 191 compared size-wise to the BE 195's? Were they similar?

Hello DAH,
My father has worked for Parkys, Wimpey,Shand & Dyggor Gaylord as a plant fitter all his life.I have worked for Finning, Taylor Woodrow,Toromont & Liebherr here in Canada. My uncle operated a new RB 195B @ Ffyndaff for Shand (then Dyggor Gaylord) for 20 years. He was previously on a BE 150 for Parkys on the same site Dunraven where the Marion 191M was. There was also I can remember a new BE 190B that came to Dunraven,I know the operator that was on it.I am not sure, but I think that relieved the Marion when it was moved up to the Leeds area.I would like to know exactly to what site in Leeds, if anyone knows.I would also like to know what happened to the Marion 191M, that was @ Pencosto, when that site finished. The Lectra Hauls that were partnered to it were moved up to Leeds, as I have stated in my earlier post.I was only a young boy @ this time.I can remember the shovels & trucks @ Dunraven, they were Terex R65s, R50s & R45s,Dark green.
The Marion 191M is a little bigger than the BE 190B & RB 195B,these two carry a standard 13 yard bucket, the Marion carries a 15 yard bucket. The later Dresser Marion 191M was a little bigger again, although same bucket size.If you look @ the pictures of the Marion, you can see the changes over the years.

Thanks Mark - sounds like both you and your father have had really interesting jobs!

I noticed the evolution through the pictures - surprised me to be honest because I never realized that the 191 went through so many changes.

Thanks again for the pictures.

Hi Mark,

I notice you mentioned Highland Valley Copper in Alberta. I think you meant Highvale Coal Mine in Alberta. Highland Valley is in British Columbia, and they aren't running any 191Ms. I'm actually not sure they ever did, however, I think Highvale might have at one point in the past.

The 191M in the video at the coal mine in Alberta you mentioned is actually at the Genesee Mine that is right next door to Highvale. I can say for certain, that it is a 191M. I'm actually one of the two voices you hear on that video....LOL.

Just been reading the article about the 1260w and Big Geordie.

Never heard of 'Horsa' - only Chevington Collier in that area - did it have a depol name change?!
