I did not know Halls had a cat 5130 ! Where is this machine working Tracshovel? I lived near to where Halls had their Main Offices in the north east, i know they have some old 773's but was not aware they has that big face shovel!

I am sure i have a photo of that D400 being loaded by a 5130 somewhere, i will have a look for it.

Don't think Halls have the 5130 anymore, the only one working in the UK is Tarmacs.

The 5130 of Halls is working every day at the moment. It's working on a reclaimation project in central Scotland. Prior to that it was at an opencast mine in Fife. Halls used to have at least two or three of these machines at one time.

It looks like its working on an old oil shale bing. Do you know where it is ? I used to go motorbiking over those bings and would like to know which one is getting reclaimed and may not be there for much longer.

thanks
Chris

It's working near Bathgate. Up next to Whiteside Industrial Est - Dunne Construction and Dem-master demolition yards are next to the site.
