JCB 805

Post #1 by wxmman » Sun Jul 18, 2010 8:39 pm

Here's one I found this week, for it's age it was in really good condition. It's owner also had a Cat 301.8, a MF50B, & a Smalley 360.

Nice looking machine! Well cared for as it looks in very good condition considering its age (1978 when 805B was introduced?). I guess that's the 301.8 in the background. Do you have any pictures of the Smalley machine? I have fond memories of those as a kid, watching them digging trenches for water/gas pipes etc.

Best regards

Gavin

Yes, the 301 had blown a hydraulic hose on the swivel - right bugger of a job to do. Here's a pic of the smalley for you Gavin

Much appreciated thanks! Looks like a Smalley 5, the model 10 is a little larger.

I love the forklift attachment on the 805B as well. That's a new one on me.

Best regards

Gavin
