Volvo EC210 BL
This is owner /operator P.J Barnard from Torquay,Devon with his Volvo 210BL working at the new Langage power station in Plymouth Devon back in 2008. This is an ex Mainland plant hire Volvo excavator which he bought as a trade in through Volvo. This was the main machine on site with a Hydraulic Hammer, a Montabert V32 which he also uses.

Re: Volvo EC210 BL
IBH , the blowout pit/blow down pit was dug beside where the huge Radiators/Boilers are sited within the power station. Being gas fired and having huge boilers when completed this pit would act as a pressure relief valve reservoir to hot water/ steam in the event of over pressure in the boiler system ,Well something like that mate. . when i first started at that site i was on a Case CX130 digging cable ducts, back filling and doing muck away jobs ,not the best machine but certainly not the worst
