Hi all. Seeing all these old hymacs makes me want to restore the one I recently got. It seems in pretty decent shape for its age.

It’s got to get some work done first though.

Hi Dan that is a nice looking machine you have there, a Perkins powered 580C; the 580C is a good all round machine and relatively easy to maintain.

Here's another rarer machine to find these days a Hymac 580B sorry the quality is not brilliant; I intend to go back when the chance presents itself and see if the owner will let me take some close up photos of it.

I've seen on another forum that HPS (graham Richie) have stopped stocking HYmac Parts...Is there anyone else?

That is correct from what I have heard, parts are harder to come by but not impossible to get; there is still Tony Flint, and Richard Gould you can try for parts; Richard still has Hymac Parts and Service.

1970s ground investigation work for the Channel Tunnel, from an old magazine article.
