Guria are/were a Spanish company originating from an engineering/industrial/manufacturing co-operative founded in 1956, in 1961 a subsidiary engaged in shipbuilding and the manufacture of public works equipment was established.
Excavator production started in 1968 with Italian Benati machines built under licence, then with Gurias own designs. A dedicted construction equipment subsidiary was established in 1980 which also built wheel and backhoe loaders. Production took place in NE Spain near the French border, exports to Central/South America and north Africa commenced in 1977.
All production ceased in 1993, afterwich Guria became a dealer/distributor for imported construction equipment.

The Italian MMT Album website has an excellent collection of Guria images:
Go to www.album-mmt.it, in the top left hand search field type in 'Guria' and click the button 'Cerca'.
