New Shopping complex at West Bromwich

Post #1 by Jeremy Rowland » Wed May 16, 2012 6:39 pm

Well the face of West Bromwich has changed forever and the pictures that follow show the construction of the new Tesco  and what will also be a new shopping complex. This site was once occupied by; the old Police station, a large carpark, a B&Q, a few houses and a public house.
I fear that the planners will decimate whats left of my old home town and even the multi-storey carpark where I took these pictures from is due for demolition, that aside there are several items of plant on this site and I will hopefully post some Youtube footage of the machines on this site if they have turned out okay?

Tesco's are currently ripping apart, sorry, redeveloping the centre of Hednesford as well, granted Hednesford is a bit run down and could do with a facelift, there is already a large tesco less than 2 mile away in Cannock and another huge store 8 mile in Lichfield.

Looks like the same mob doing the prep work at west brom.

Keep up the pics and vid Jez.

The JCB 8065 RTS looks resplendent, apart from the huge scratch on the counterweight

Needs to be a zero zero zero tail swing I guess; I had not spotted that until you mentioned it.
