Depends how deep the seams are pal, it could be only a shallow depth for the 2rh120s too dig

Well some seams aren't even deep so what would be the point of the RH's and the extension, I just can't see it being worth it if they're not going as deep as what they have been doing mate. It'd be a waste of money on the whole extension.

The point would be volume of muck to be moved in the short time scale, shallow seams would soon be Uncovered and dug out, fannying around with smaller machines would drag into months maybe even years. In, coal out and worry about reclamation after. Minorca will soon be on line and some of the tack may be required over there.

The reason they are felling it now will be to chop it all down before the bird nesting season starts, as if they leave it they will get stopped by the Eco warrior brigade ... the wildlife has more protection than we do from disruptive site works and associated noise and dust etc. :dizzy:

I kind of agree about them doing it now!!! It's much better to do it now than when the birds want to nest! I'm not a tree higher far from it but I do believe in letting species live on and wouldn't like to see anything that will disrupt them!!

I've just been for a walk in my lunch break and work has re.started - the 385 is working and fences are being erected on the extension area. Ian

Well me and L.Kezz went to the site this morning and I can confirm there has been no muck shifting activity started on the lodge house extension! The 2 RHs are parked up and as far as I could see there wasn't any trucks on site! They have started putting the fence posts up and locating cables etc so I would imagine that by the end of the month early next month the kit will be moved in to help strip the site!
