Birse are starting a new £30m sea defence scheme at Redcar , intend to photo this as it progresses (work permitting roll on the light nights !)

do you know what exactly are they doing with the holes?
Building sand castles no they are trial holes Sam, they are dug to see what the ground is like a few metres down, they take soil samples away and test the samples to see what foundations are needed

I have a feeling you will see quite a few of the Redcar fishermans fleet of forty+ Fordson Majors as this job progresses. You can see one launching a boat in the background of first video.
