ACMOC visit to Finning at Cannock

Post #1 by John Gaunt » Tue Mar 31, 2009 8:54 pm

Last Saturday around 20 ACMOC Chapter 2 members visited Finnings at Cannock.
We had a truely memorable day thanks to Stuart and his colleagues who showed us around.
It really makes the difference when you are in the hands of someone who is so knowlegeable and at the same time has an infectious enthusiasm for Cat equipment
They had taken the time to put togather a lineup of D10T, D9T and D8T, not forgetting the R2 !
Herewith some pics.

Anyone wanting to join ACMOC send me a PM, we have several working events planned during the summer.

Once again many thanks indeed to Stuart and his colleagues.

Hello John
Glad you had another good visit.Plenty of lights on the D10  .
Those dozers look even bigger with the matt black blades.Great photo of them John
Hope to be sorting out a machinery exhibition for early summer in South Wales.
There is also the Welsh Bite in August, the Truck and plant show at the Carmathen showground, the transport day in October at the Heritage park.Trehafod.Hope Karl can get his D8 done by then as I will be taking the roller and D4 there if things go to plan.
I will be up K J's the end of the week picking up my side cover for the D4 and taking photos of the RB VC 30 which is now running and the only one in the UK.Will also take photos of Karls D8 engine being rebuilt there.
Martyn
