Water pipe

Post #1 by Robban_C » Fri Aug 17, 2007 11:40 pm

This site is quite a lot about big machines. And old ones.
I don´t complain about that but I took some photos on a workplace for a smaller machine. It´s just 6 years old and the weight is just above 3,5 tons.
The photos are more of the workplace than on the machine itself. But some of them are taken from the machine, isn´t that good? :D

The job is digging for a plastic water pipe from a workshop to the house. Approximately 40 or 45 m.
All kind of materials, from pure sand (natural!) beneath the garage to mud (almost dry), gravel and stones.

More pic´s are coming.

Edit: The first picture shows what appears to be a torn of cable. It isn´t. It´s an old water pipe that hasn´t been in use for several years and it will not be used in the future either.

Almost there. Some more backfilling and planning after the weekend and we´re done.
Bengt has put the new pump into the new well under the work shop and we have tasted the water. It tastes good but it´s still a little dark from foreign particles.

So, is it good enough for 1,5 days of work?

Martyn, did you like it?

Nick, no I don´t have any pictures of the machine with me driving but I might take such a photo some day.
