Ive heard UK Coal have 2 new sites to start up ere in northeast this year one at Evenwood but not surer about other one consett area i was told

UK Coal says the 138ha site at Randolph, near Evenwood, has potential reserves of 475,000 tonnes of coal and could be worked for four years

I hope the tree huggers dont turn up.There are millions of tonnes of coal reserves in the UK.We rely too much on imported coal and gas. :dizzy:
There could be lots of energy extracted from that factory on the banks of the Thames.Huge amounts of hot air are generated there daily.Enough to heat thousands of homes. :lol:

I heard a rumour that they are applying for a site over near Ilkeston derbyshire, after Lodge house has finished......all the equipment will just get transferred from there to the new site!

Hi Joe,
That is correct - see link below. Also LEM Resources are apply to take out 400,000 tonnes between Smalley & Denby Village - looking at the plans - the largest machine would be a Cat 350.
