It going to be an interesting project Jeremy as parts for these are hard to get hold of.Should be easier than a tracked loader though  .Will spend the winter months searching for bits. Its a solid tractor.

Hi Martyn,
Good to see it home.
We could have saved a lot of energy swinging the thing if you 'd decided on using the crane sooner.

I spent 2 Autumns as a student discing and rolling with BTD6. I did not know it was on the farm until it was dragged out of the back of an obscure shed. It had a nasty shed on it which meant you were hot as well as dusty. I cooked the gearbox on it because I had not realised the oil was low, but as I had not 'got it ready' I did not really get the blame. The next year shed was removed so cold and damp! Christ it was boring discing a 90 acre field with a 10ft set of discs, twice.

Looks to be quite a find, pto, do you know if that was a rare item. While some wear draw bar looks in good shape. While in air being unloaded tracks don't look to have lots of sag, doesn't seem to be much wear on grousers. Do you know how long it may have set before you picked up. Looks like a fun project, hope the shop roof stays blue as you work on this project.

This machines last outing was at our vintage show in 2002,so its been stood in more or less the same spot in my mates yard for 10 years.I have owned it for two, just getting around to restoring it  The machine originally cam from Wiltshire. Its last workout was pulling a four furrow plough which it did with ease. The pto output shaft is bent, the machine it was driving damaged the fuel tank when the shaft flew off.
