Hi Martyn what's your process before painting?
Are you blasting and priming or just coating with a rust treatment?

I take it back to bare metal by blasting or with brush / discs, then zink phosphate primer / red oxide after a degrease. one coat of undercoat and three top coats to finnish off , A good prep job is the key
I have found the grey phosphate primer the best. One machine was painted 12 years ago and no rust has come through even when the machine is kept outside in all weathers. The decals I use are also ver good with no degrade.

Replacement parts for the starter motor have come from the USA, perhaps I can move the project on a bit now. It has been very busy in work though. Can't complain at that

Motor should be done this week, sideplate cut and drilled just needs final cleanup and prime.Seats done.Need to get the machine running and steering clutches freed off.If that works I will fit new brake linings.
