Marine blue and limestone roof, have you got the delux seats? Dad had an F reg diesel when it was about 8 yaers old. Fraid smart as it looked it was a pile of ......... He bought a J plate petrol following that. It looked a little scruffy by comparison and only had the basic trim but it could pull well. I had the lights on the wing like yours. We got an L reg ser3 in about 1977 and what an improvement. By the early 80s the chassis had some serious rot. :wtf:

.... I am under no illusions  ..... it was rebuilt in 2008, and gained new outriggers, dumb irons, rear hangers and cross member, diesel tank, and unfortunately an S3 bulkhead and gearbox, but all need work now, the only plus side is that it was done with a lot of stainless bolts so will not need too much work to strip. Although I might pick up a trash rolling chassis and bulkhead, weld up and make good, and do a swap when ready, I would like an S2 type interior really, we will see. The current interior is standard and carpet tape! , but has the S3 plastic dash .... parts are relatively cheap though and its great to have something to tinker with. It is crude to drive, and noisy ..... ;) FANTASTIC :!:

Here's my new toy - its twin brother. Note the new galv bulkhead ;)

I agree with about the series 3 dash, nasty plastic thing and that stupid ledge below the windscreen, a requirement for crash protection, is pants too!

Does it work out economic to redo all those chassis repairs?
Ive got a 90 td which is starting to get a bit rough round the edges underneath and Ive more or less resigned myself to something like a richards replacement when the time comes because its supposed to be a good weekends work to rechassis, and going on you have the advantage that its galvanised to stop you having to do the job in a few more years.
