I have a vague feeling the colour was specially mixed for Wimpeys.
I've also seen the Leyland Landtrain previously mentioned and it is spot on for the colour . The Landtrain looks so up to date You would have a hard job convincing many people this is 25 years old

so you guys would say that the landtrain is in the right colour for the 60s 70s era as well guys i really want to get the colour as right as i can as i have seen the models that have been produced in a yellow but not any where near the colours that have been shown here in the two pics you guys have kindly submitted

Yes Alan I would say Landtrain colour spot on , its a very distinctive colour that I've never seen elsewhere except Wimpeys gear.
