The donkey engine is now running.Cleaned the fuel lines and carb.Fitted the overhauled mag.Engine running great.Back up on Wednesday to service the machine and carry out a few repairs. The donkey engine was last run 12 years ago.

Re: Caterpillar D4
Been up on the D4 today.Removed the fuel tank for a good steam clean. Also changed the fuel filters. Its surprising that the engne ran ok with the state of those filters.

Re: Caterpillar D4
Had another day on the D4, gave it a good service and carried out a few repaires. The donkey clutch is freed off and works fine.Just another adjustment required next time up the yard. Will be sorting out the hydraulic hoses and dozer pins.
