Hello from dusty devon

Post #1 by devonoak » Tue Apr 26, 2011 8:32 pm

Hello folks. I run a sawing and framing yard in Devon and have lots of ancient machinery, to be honest I'm slowly upgrading in a desperate attempt to be a little more efficient. I have the worlds first telehandler the Liner Giraffe and have had an Eager Beaver fork lift , a number of Unimog yard cranes and some old bedford trucks. I'll post a few pics by way of an intro.

Now replaced with a stronger crane, the Unimog 416 with 650 Hiab

The eager beaver I am pleased to say is sold. One of the worst rough terrain forklifts ever made!

This is an old Bedford I brought back from NZ

The old crane and sawmill (Forestor Tom Sawyer still in use)

Finally the LIner (which we call the Coinford) and sawmill, both still in use,

All the best Tom

Nature of the game Tom sadly ....have to go where the work is ...seems even tougher down here as the county is so big too! Exter is a local one really ...I have done Taunton in one direction and Truro in the other in the past !! Yes You are quite right though ...I must be mad
