Hi
My name is Steve Waddington and I have lived in Norfolk for the last 30 years. I started work with WC French in 1969 as a setting out engineer when they were building the M62 from Outlane to Hartshead Moor. I also spent time pegging out on the M621 Birstall to Leeds before moving to the M23/25 working out of the offices at Merstham.
I am married and have one son who lives in Norwich.
I have transfered some slides to CD and hope to put these on Classic Machinery in the next few days - these show the equipment that was used on the M23/25. There are also three shots of International scrapers that were used on a site I worked on in the Wirral for McAlpines which I think was being prepared for building a school. Hope these are of interest.
