I just saw the new front side! Nice job!
I have one very small detail:
"Share you thoughts" should probably be "Share your thoughts".
I need your feedback!

Re: I need your feedback!
Hi Juke,
Apologies for being dense; but Im confused by your suggestion to add a topic of "antique equipment". This is the Classic Machinery Network so I guess the question is; if a machine is not new or current, what criteria determines if it is "classic" or "antique"?
I look forward to your reply!

Hi Holger,
After reading Roberts post about the new homepage, I took a look. I tried to log in through the homepage, but it is impossible. I just thought you should know.
Also; I replied to your post in the Excavators section regarding a member of your Maskinisten forum looking for material on the Hydromac H6, but never heard from you or the member himself?
All the best,
John

Re: I need your feedback!
Robban, thank you, will correct that!
As for the final design I have several skins which fits better to the overall design then the one I use right now.
I want all parts of the site to look the same. That will be hard work, and I will start this when the forum-software goes final.
John, sorry, it is not possible to login through the main page.
It is a completely different system (CMS/blog).
I will hide that login.
Regarding "Antique" and "Classic": this site is dedicated to all kind of machinery, not only classic and antique. Feel free to add information about all kind of machinery, old and new.
Thank you! I will check that thread about Hydromac H6!

Re: I need your feedback!
Hi Shovelman:
I feel that antique equipment would be that which is over 25 years old. The equipment I am most familiar with is from the glory days of interstate highway construction. There are many makers who are no longer with us, Allis Chalmers, Euclid, Wabco, Cletrac, Galion, and Barber Green, and many others. There are quite a few machines that are rusting away, abandoned, sitting in scrap yards, and hopefully, restored by individuals who have a passion for this old equipment and wish to preserve these symbols of our past.
I know of several antique machines in my area that I hope to photograph in the near future and post to this forum. For the older members I hope that the photos and discussion will bring back some fond memories, and the younger members will learn what life was like before electric starters, pilot controls, climate controlled enclosed cabs, and all the other conveniences of modern machines.

Re: I need your feedback!
I really like the photos of old machinery and I read every post in every thread.
What about photos of work that I´ve done with my compact excavator? It isn´t classical or antique in any way. And it isn´t an extra ordinary machine at all. It isn´t even huge. The total weight is less than a bucket on some of the biggest machines here.
I know that Nick likes photos even of smaller machines. What about the rest of you guys and dolls?

Re: I need your feedback!
Robban, I think this should separate this site from other forums.
In other forums the call is: show photos of large machines, monster machines and so on. Other machines are not of interest.
This is the way at Bauforum24, LKW Stefan, HEF and other sites.
I would like to see all kind of machinery here, new, old, large, small, cheap, expensive, nice and ugly!

Hi All,
I agree entirely !! We have a great balance of all machine types here at CMN

Hi Martyn & Holger,
I hope you have a bit more luck with Gary about this site then I have had Martyn,
I have sent two emails to Gary asking him to give CMN a bit of coverage by printing my letter in the readers letters section..but sadly so far I have not seen anything published.
Maybe it will make it into next months edition
