Few quid there Martyn, even if they are the Babys of the mine Dump truck sector.

Coal and waste management are about the only 2 boom sectors in plant with the state of the economy by the looks.

Went past the Cat Depot in West Yorks on Saturday evening but it was too dark and Wet to stop and lok what was in the yard (a few machines parked outside but dident see anything massive) :(

Nice pics Martyn.
10 trucks if I'm not mistaken and a few D9Ts. They have also taken a pair of new PC3000s and a PC2000 from Komatsu. Full story to come in Earthmovers soon, I'm due there beginning of February :D

Hi Martin,
Not too sure if the Komatsus are cheaper than Hitachi, but they are a lot more reliable and take the punishment of an opencast site a lot better.
Yes, the PC2000 is the first in the UK.

Hi Paul
its good to see the opencast sector doing well again, i wonder if the success of the miller argent PC3000 machines had any influence on celtics decison to go with komatsu? i had read they were happy with their EX1900?
