Hello b100.

The only battery problems come from the 777s and the dozers. The 789s and 785s use air start. The batterys on them trucks only run the prelude system for start up. The air starter motors have a constant diesel feed to keep them from freezing up. We do have to jump start them now and then (If the driver forgets to switch the master key off   ) If we are running late I simply activate the air-motor manually and they crank up no problem.

Hello there Ross,

Are those trucks fitted with the shutters to the rad or is it sound suppresion equipment? The noses of those 785s look like it has been extended.

Hi SB. Yeah all the trucks have extended front ends. RAD baffels. All custom made. Works a treat for sound suppression. Also they have Nappys fitted and special exhaust scilencers to reduce noise even more. I will see if I have some specific pics of these add-ons.

Meanwhile here is a side-on pic of a 789B. The front extends a fair bit.
