was looking at this earlier tonite with my father , he says it might be a " marshalls" ? also look at the added picture below , looks the same ?

Hi All
I think its a Marshall too. Firm I worked for in the early 70s had one, can't remember the model but the plate on the side said made in 1948.
It had a Perkins P4 engine, and weighed 8.5 tons with the scarrifier fitted.
The earlier ones like the photo below were made from 1935, and had the Marshall single cylinder like the Marshall tractors. Hence the flywheel on the side.

A picture of my Aveling Barford DX8 and my engineers van. This is the roller with the Rustons single cylinder engine.
back to the original photo, I dont know what it is, I think you are saying marshall because of the similarities in the exhaust, but the body panels look different
