Pedestrian Roller

Post #1 by Ariel » Tue Mar 09, 2021 5:38 pm

Has anybody heard of Pedestrian Rollers made by CEL (Compacting Equipment Ltd) of Millers Road, Warwick
I should think mine was made mid '70s with a Petter AB1 engine. Or anyone know if the company was absorbed into another company.

I am trying to do a complete restoration and would like info about the clutch and countershaft or contact with someone who has a working one.

Hi Dave.

It is not a company I can remember, however, they were in the same area of Warwick as Benfords were at that time. It is possible they could have had something to do with them. Benfords was bought out by Terex who are now owned by Mecalac based in Coventry 024 7633 9400. They may be able to help or alternatively Thwaites who are in Cubbington, but as far as I am aware their main products are dumpers.

I think that's the best I can offer on this one.

Neil. (v1230nm)
