Filling in a burrow pit in essex,160 acres of landfill with builders waste
to create a golf course,but after 3 million tons was tipped the owners
admitted it no longer intended to build a golf course so the council
closed it down,earth from the burrow pit was used to cap each layer
of the tip,then used for winter tipping.
