As of this moment in time, the D8R is working in one of the quarries and the D8T is working on a construction project away from home.

Back in summer there were some 8's (think they were H & K's) stripping a field just south of Spalding for a massive greenhouse development. Couldn't get close enough to see who they belonged to, don't think they were Carl Billings' but not sure.

Re: Some sheduled maintenance
As easter approaches,it's been an unusually busy winter for me with both tractors working 5 days a week since late October.
I was able to put the D8R back into standby at the end of February. Its earned some rest and I need to go back to my other business for the spring rush.

Re: Some sheduled maintenance
I had an inspection of the mighty D8R that's nearly at 40000 hours and reakoned that 30k was going to be needed on tracks, cutting edges and some bushings for the ripper.
30 years experience tells me that the guess of 30k means around 40k in reality.
I'd been offered a decent trade in last July against the D8T,but wanted to keep the old D8R for a couple of months just in case I couldn't get along with the modern electronic issues of the D8T.
Well,a couple of months soon turned into 7 or 8 months and Tony reckoned it was time to sell it before getting sucked into it.
So I did.
