The flywheel housing that came off was,as expected, abit worn on the lip where the engine mount had fretted against it.This would be easy enough to repair but I had another in mint shape so just used that instead.Got 2 new mount brakets off Roberts Plant that were better than mine.

I was very lucky to have a virtually brand new torque in my stores and it required just one bearing that TC wasn't too happy about. He's overhauled the torque divider gears and fitted the lot back in.
Whilst the cab and belly plates are off we have pulled out the tranny to have a look just in case.I wonder what's in there?
Clive,do you know when it was last done and by who?

No idea, Steve never did it. He bought the tractor in 1997 from Barry Pope. Not sure if he performed any surgery! :?

I'm glad you had some bits which made the job easier on the pocket!!!

Thanks Clive.
We stripped the tranny down to find a missing thrust washer. The pinion oil feed had also worked loose but no damage has been done.Overall the tranny is in good order apart from the pins in one of the carriers. The clutch plates are pretty worn so thwy will be replaced by ones in my store. Two big ring gears aren't really good enough to put back into this tractor so will be renewed.I have spare ones in the tranny shed but the cost of the new ones doesn't really justify the cost of stripping another tranny down to find them.
Have serviced the tractor today and fitted new fanbelts and the cab has had a coat of paint inside and out.
