Seeing the photos of the Thompsons D10 brings back memories as I have a photo of myself standing next to it in Levertons yard before it was delivered!

Yes the Thompsons D11N has been sold, i believe its parked up somewhere in the County Durham region, possibly Lanchester! She now sports chrome stacks apparently! 8-)

Am gutted she has gone from Bishop Middleham as i frequently passed there with the camera! :( I cannot understand why Thompsons never got permission to expand their quarry as La Farge is expanding is quarry operations in that area, and Tarmac is also looking at re-opening an old quarry to get at more stone!

According to my sources the D11 is parked next to some GREEN cat 637's, no one seems to know where they were bought from. Would have thought a D11 is a little big to be pushing scrapers! 657's maybe but 637's ? Still, will be an awsome sight

Simpsons scrapers are 637C's.They've all been done up and are now Cat yellow with the new Cat logo badges on them.I saw one of them in pink primer.Mabey they ran out and used green primer.A D10 of that age may be a good choice to nudge a few scrapers about. It's too old to be ripping and breaking into a sweat! ;)
