Worked on the D4 again today.Carried out some servicing and a few repairs. Will need to sort out the starting engine clutch.Adjustment may fix it.The donkey engine starts after second put and engine compression is good.Next time up the yard I will be looking at the starting engine clutch and fitting a replacement fuel tank, renewing the filters the same time.
I was told that Finning came out to the D6 as a pin had shattered and flew out.Has this happened before? The previous owner of my machine rang last night. He had trouble with his new Cat backhoe loader, that has gone back to Finning for repair.
