NEW D6T XW FOR OVENDEN

Handed over a new D6T XW today for Ovenden Earthmoving at Soverign harbour in Eastbourne it has a hydraulic Birtley box hooked on the back on beach restoration work it will be working there till easter

Great pictures Robert :thumbs_up: .. Chris Barwick is certainly buying a load of new stuff last few months, i am waiting for an old friend of mine who has worked for Ovies for years to bring me round some pictures of some of their work .. in the UK and abroad

Great pictures, Robert. It seems to me to be almost a crime to have a brand spanking new machine working in all that salt water !!

Looks like an extra counter weight mounted above the hitch on the dozer in the second picture?

What would that be for extra traction? I suppose there is no weight transfered from the box to aid grip as it fills?

No direct or downwards force on the drawbar but by putting the crawler's drawbar higher than the scraper it will pull the back-end of it down - better this way than than the other
