International Buldozer TD 18

Post #1 by Bog Man » Fri Jul 06, 2012 7:50 pm

This is a Dozer that worked on our farm in Ireland under the Marshall Plan for Recovery in Europe I think it may have been a TD18 ??

Hi Martyn,
I think (Bog Man) John Monahans TD18 would have sounded very different from the one in your video post.
His was fitted with two silencers and the one in the video has two straight through pipes.
Perhaps I'll be able to record a TD18 with silencers when I finish restoring Barrys, I hope to have it running by the end of next week.

My D4 sounds different with a muffler, the straight pipe gives it a raspy bark.

Hi John,
Thanks for those great pics. of the TD18.
She must have virtualy been a sister to the one I've been working on today. I think this one probably came over as part of the Marshall Recovery Plan too.

The Land reclamation done under the Marshal Plan For recovery in Europe was paid for out of an Annuity that the farm had to pay for years . I think the Government allowed for a final payment in the 1990,s
