Pel Job EB 25.4 question

Post #1 by D.Thomas » Tue Sep 10, 2013 9:55 pm

Hello all,

Hoping that someone will be able to shed some light on an issue one of our neighbours is having with his 1997 Pel Job. Although the machine is generally working as it should and has been trouble free other than some hoses and a new set of tracks it's recently developed an issue with the track speed. The ground track speed has increased noticeably even with the engine only ticking over and he is unable to slow it down. He's working in fairly tight quarters so it's a bit of an issue. Would anyone have any suggestions on possible causes that we could investigate and also any idea where we might be able to get a repair manual. My usual first port of call to ebay has only thrown up a parts manual so far.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the suggestion, don't know the machine well myself but will go round and check it out with him tomorrow, hopefully it's something that simple

Just wanted to say thanks as that was the issue, somehow managed to activate the switch that he never knew was there. Before this answer he was thinking that there was some valve that had gone and was letting too much pressure through and was gearing up to ask a mechanic friend to start pulling things apart so saved a lot of hassle.
