Just a quick question. Does anyone know if this engine has a rubber timing belt or chain? I've been tightening the alternator belt on mine today and suddenly wondered about it, quite why I've never thought about it before after about 8 years of ownership is beyond me! If it's a rubber belt then I better get it done ASAP 
It's in a Mitsubishi 2 ton mini-digger, an old one, that I believe was branded as CAT in the UK
