Get the phone number of JCB hq and ask for Sir Antony Bamford-if course you will not get to speak to him but I should imagine some flunky will take an interest in your problems and kick the appropriate backsides into gear!!!!

We bought a new 8052 taking delvery in nov 2000 almost from the start the safety switch gave bother after three years of hazzle getting no where with the dealer I did the above.
Got the jigger fixed(learnt this word from one of your compatriots,Deas Plant!) and has been relatively troulefree until now but with 5600hrs on the meter we have the engine out to get rid of a deep score on the crankshaft and install a new crankshaft oil seal plus reseal the injector pump. I would agree with you on the poor paint finish etc
