Hitachi ZX 870-3 HRD Van Groningen (NL)

Dutch demolition contractor Van Groningen takes in 2009 delivery of a very special Hitachi ZX 870-3 demolition excavator. The demolition boom is a 40m cat demolition boom for on a cat 385B UHD. A couple of years after problems with the machine a finish customer sold the machine with both booms. But the base machine is sold only with standard boom to Heckett Multiserv. After years Van Groningen bought the boom and choose a base machine from Hitachi. So the only thing was to make the base. And that's done. The base boom is rebuild to a triple boom, because they do a lot of heavy industrial demolition.

The machine has 2 booms. The triple works on 21m with 8 tons shear.
