EDS 954B Litronic

Photograped whilst it was decommisioning part of a chemical works near Wrexham. The remainder of the plant is due to close at the end of the year so I'll have to keep an eye out for anything coming to site :D

Does anyone know...?! EDS sells it's HRD machines: R954B R954C and PC340 all for sale? Company gone broke or what?

If they've got no work for the machines, its no good keeping kit costing six-fgures or more sitting in the yard earning nothing.

HOPE this puts you in picture mate . thay sold all the tackel thay had, new plant manager had two million to spend on new tackel,thay got rid ov all the best machines and bought jap crap , hope this answers your question .

I've seen a new big Komatsu PC800 HRD I think it was, but what else did they bought then?
I would not have sold the R974C HRD and R954C HRD but it's their choice. I would say buy at least a HRD rig that can carry a larger tool then the standard 2.5-3.5ton that the standard OEM's offer, because of their type of works!

thay bought 3, 350 hrd koms and 8 , 240 demo spec standard boom machines . i worked for them for 4 years ,thay sold 974,two 954s the b was deffo the better machine and a 944 23 meter rig wich i used to operate it was a cracking machine hyd undercarage the lot ,it was sold to some dutch outfit thats all i know.
