A few years back now Dudley Council vacated this building in the town centre, it benefitted from having no real car parking facility plus a council who wanted to charge top whack for it, surprise, surprise, no wonder they couldn't get any takers. Not too surprisingly it then benefitted from frequent visits from vandals and was promptly transformed into an eyesore
After standing disused, forlorn and languishing for what seems like forever the council have finally had to cough up for demolition; while this is only the odd three or four miles from where I live it's not easy access or parking but I will try and get some more photo's as and when the chance presents itself, the big Volvo HRD was not working today, I have no idea what if any plans the council have for the site once it is cleared but this part of the town is like so many local towns very rundown, kind of makes me sad.
The big Komatsu is on a site adjacent which is also being cleared.

Re: Cavendish House
Well Covid 19 has made a rather large unwanted impact upon all of our lives so there has been no chance for me to get out to take any photos of this continuing work, fortunately I have a very good friend who has this on her doorstep so as to speak so while she's been out shopping in Dudley town centre for vital food supplies she has managed to stop by and take a few photos for me, many thanks to Rose Yates for the following photographs.
