Hi All,
Thanks for your replies. Your right this time Martyn it's not a JCB.
I got this photo off a 1950's Pathe News Clip which jogged my memmory.
I didn't expect anyone to get this one right. There weren't many of these mixers about and it was over half a century ago.
They were a very unusual design, like a small version of the closed drum type but instead of having a discharge chute the drum tilted just enough to empty.
The maker was Acrow, better known for formwork and Acrow Props.
Heres a list of mixer manufacturers from that time which I remember. I wonder if anyone can add any more

The ones marked * also made big closed drum machines up to 3/4 yard capacity,these were plentyfull before readymix came in. I've got some photos which I'll post in my thread "The way we were" when I find time.
