Vermeer pile driver's

Post #1 by Mrsmackpaul » Mon Apr 23, 2018 9:13 pm

Have had a few changes in life of late and now find my self work on the construction of a 600 acre solar farm in northern Victoria

Never beeb involved with the building of a solar farm before so am seeing lots of different things I have never dealt with before

Whilst laying electrical cables in a trench this pile driver turned up th o thump some posts in a bit deeper

I feel there maybe a dozen working on the farm

Please exuse the photo lying over

These appear to be GPS positioned and the height of all the posts appear to be done the same way

I was thinking even as little as 15 years ago none of this would have been possible with out a team of people spending months there with tapes etc marking out the grid and then lasers checking the heights

I find it all very impressive
