... it says in the program that it is a 1964 JCB 1D 15cwt. ... is it just a re-badge ?

No Andy that is correct they did build em, I've seen that one before at a show.

Yes indeed, JCB did make a small range of two wheel drive manual tips dumpers.. 30cwt, 22cwt, and a 15cwt .. they were introduced in 1964, i do not know how many were made, or when JCB stopped making them .. or even why .. perhaps some one else knows

Hi,
The dumper at Belper belongs to a friend of mine infact I drove it round the arena.
Its due a make over as its not looking at its best.

I have a feeling they couldn't make any money on them , every engineering firm in the Uk seemed to have a go at knocking out these 'manual everything' small dumpers.
They must be one of the most difficult vehicles to identify once they lose their badges as they're all so similar.

Joe It not bally's. Think he tells everyone its his. Its my mates it will be at cromford again this. Mr Balls did show some interest in it but took the hump when my mate would't sell it too him. Are you going up this year?
