Looks like another tractor will be joining the fleet shortly.
Its a TD6, its complete with good running gear but has not been run for 3 years.
Will post photos in the next few weeks.

That sounds great, Martyn. I spent many hours on it's UK cousin, the BTD6. It was a great little tractor.

Hello John
Could have had the BTD6 he has got,but the BTD6 needs a lot more work on it.It would make a good project for someone though.
Cheers

Done a bit of work on the TD6 this week. The carb and linkages need to be sorted out first.Very interesting machine to work on engine wise.It starts on petrol, when warmed up it runs on diesel.
Will post photos soon.

Took some photos of my 1942 TD6,been freeing up linkages as the machine last run two years ago.I have known about this machine for 10 years,it even attended some of our vintage shows. Its last job was a bit of ploughing,it pulled a four furrow plough at a local farm.
Just waiting for the carburetor service kit to come, then fire the old girl up ready for a good workout next year.

Hi Martyn,

Here are a couple of pics of a T6 that was at the Fife show earlier this year.

The most surprising thing about it was how quiet it was at tick-over. I walked up to it from behind and was speaking to the owner for a bit before I realised it was running!

This one is used for ploughing every year.

Dave. S.

Yes Dave, they do seem to run quiet.I have got hold of a parts book for these machines.I have left everything soaked with release oil on it,once the carb is serviced, hopefully it will run ok.
Mine is fitted with a pto.
Cheers
Martyn

And starting up the tractor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fw7azy5udIo
Think you will find it interesting.Very good videos.
Hope I can get mine running like this machine. My TD6 attended that tractor rally for the record attempt a few years back for the amount of tractors working in one field at the same time.
Martyn
