Hello Sean
Also looked for an decent plant trailer, the trouble was that when I wanted to sort out transport, another machine turned up  .This has been going on for over 10 years now.
I have been very lucky in that my local council has been supporting me in moving my machines to council events.
One day I may get my own transport.
Cheers
Martyn
Photo show my 933 turning up in Tiverton for its transfer to the lowloader and its trip to Wales.Billy Butt owns the County. My D4 came from the same yard.

On the subject of moving plant about with a trailer is it not the case that all trailers must have a manufacturer's plate on them now ? And that plate must comply with the statutory requirements and have been tested accordingly ?

And that failure to comply with this makes your insurance null and void ? I thought that we had reached this position now.

The police do regular checks around here on tax, trucks and tractor hauled trailers.
I think the trailor regs. are on the DVLA website.

Hello Martyn
I had a1942 TD6 years ago. Rebuit the engine with a little help from my friends.
Failed to press out the liners tried to freeze them as well.
Ended up having them bored out, these days I would probably have run some welds in them to shrink them.
I have only one poor pic. of her with me in the saddle
in 1959/60.
Take no notice of the BTD6 transfer.

Re built the carb and manifold this morning. Will see if the old girl will fire up on Thursday. Its been standing for two or three years so may take a bit of grunt on the starting handle.
Also progressed the D4,been sorting out the blade cutting edge. The bonnet is gone for shot blasting and a prime.
Hope this weather holds up.

Put all the serviced parts back on this afternoon ready to try for a start. The petrol filter bowl was found to be split :dizzy: Was OK when last down there.Looks the same size as a Fordson bowl, hopefully I may have a spare one that will fit.The spark plugs are the same as a D2 donkey engine.
